TILE ADHESIVE B1

Information

Water-resistant adhesive. Good bond with vertical surfaces.

BASE / SURFACE PREPARATION
The base must be clean, firm, solid, free from dust, lime, fat, and old paint residue. Use base primer for surfaces with high moisture absorption capacities.

MIXTURE PREPARATION
Pour the contents of the package (25 kg) into 5.5 to 6 litres of clean room temperature water. Mix manually or mechanically until homogeneous until homogeneous. Leave for 5 minutes, then stir again. This adhesive mixture can be used for about an hour, depending on the ambient temperature.

CONSUMPTION AND OUTPUT
The output is 2-4 kg/m2 (depending on the size of spreader's notches and roughness of the surface).

STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store the product in a secure, dry place and keep the product dry..

SHELF LIFE
12 months from the date of production.

ATTENTION! WORK SAFETY
The work must be carried out in a dry environment. During work and two days after tiling air and base temperature must be between + 5 °C and + 30 °C. All data and recommendations provided are valid at a temperature of + 20 °C and relative humidity of 60%. Under other conditions the adhesive properties may change. Provided work recommendations are observed, the producer ensures the quality of the adhesive. However, the producer will not be responsible for any consequences that may result from use of the adhesive in other conditions, or for other purposes.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Use a flat spreader to apply a thin layer of adhesive to prepared surface. After that, apply a thicker layer of adhesive and use a notched spreader to smooth the area that should be tiled within 20 minutes. Choose a proper notched spreader. Notch size should be 6x6 mm, distance between the centres of notches should be 12 mm. For larger tiles, use spreader with larger notches. Firmly press tiles into the layer of adhesive with rotary or slip motion, then put them into place immediately. Attached tiles must not be connected or come into contact with each other. The tile position can be adjusted within 15 minutes after attachment. Gaps between wall tiles must be filled no less than 24 hours after tiling. Gaps between floor tiles must be filled 48 hours after tiling. After 2 days you will be able to carefully walk on the floor without causing damage to it. Full durability and resistance to water will be achieved after 28 days. After having completed the work, wash used tools with water.

THE PRODUCT MAY BE USED IN COMBINATION WITH:

TILE JOINT FILLER BG-5
TILE JOINT FILLER BG-5

The tile joint filler BRIKO BG5 is designed for filling joints up to 5 mm wide between ceramic, stone (excluding marble) and glass tiles attached to standard non-deformable bases such walls and floorings. The product can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is water-resistant and, when exposed to moisture, maintains its mechanical properties. However, this does not mean that the product is waterproof. BRIKO BG-5 corresponds to the Class CG2 A requirements of the standard EN 13888:2009 (good parameters, higher wear resistance). Long-lasting colors. Do not use for heat-insulated floors. Sanitary facilities (bath, sinks), joints in wall corners, wall-front junctions as well as gaps between tiles must be sealed with sanitary silicone.
