LIGHT COARSE-GRAINED PUTTY (ST)

Information

PROPERTIES
Good adhesion. Elastic, easy to grind, no dusting. Easy to shape a textured surface. Improves heat and sound insulation of walls. Recommended for smoothing the roughness of the initial levelling layer.

BASE / SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface must be dry, clean, smooth, and stable as well as possess load bearing characteristics. There must be no peeling layers on top of it. Old peeling paint must be removed and the weak surface must be cleaned until the result is a solid surface. To improve bond, the surface previously painted using glazing paint should be grinded until matt. The surface previously painted using chalk or lime paint should be thoroughly washed to remove the paint. Surfaces affected by mould and fungi must be additionally cleaned using appropriate chemical cleaners. Plasterboard joints should be filled with reinforcing filler. Dense, non-absorbent mineral surfaces or completely non-absorbent concrete bases as well as mineral plaster surfaces should be primed using bond enhancing primers. Highly absorbent or unevenly absorbent bases (such as aerated concrete and plasterboards) should be primed with base primer.

MIXTURE PREPARATION
The putty is ready to use. Use a spatula to stir the product before use.

CONSUMPTION AND OUTPUT
0.3–0.4 l/m² (depending on roughness of the surface).

STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store in a closed container, in a dry place at a temperature between + 5 °C and + 25 °C, protected from cold, intense heat and direct sunlight.

SHELF LIFE Best for 12 months after the date of production.

ATTENTION! WORK SAFETY
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact with skin, immediately wash thoroughly with water and soap. Do not pour into drains. Wear suitable protective clothing, suitable gloves and use eye (face) protection.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Puttying to be carried out at an ambient temperature of at least +8 °C and relative air humidity of 35–80 %. Mix the product before use. Apply manually or mechanically. The second layer can only be applied after the first layer has dried completely. Maximum layer thickness: 10 mm. If you use the coarse-grained putty BRIKO (ST) as the first layer, we recommend using the fine-grained putty BRIKO (SM) as the final layer. After drying, the surface of the putty should be grinded using 60 and 80 abrasive mesh. After having completed the work, wash used tools with water. The coated surface can be painted using appropriate water-based paints. The surface do not require the use of a prime before painting.
